What is Cannabielsoxa?
Cannabidiol oxa is a rare, recently identified molecule from the flowers of cannabis that was first linked to cancer research by South Korean researchers. While cannabidiol oxa itself did not directly kill tumor cells in the test, it was accompanied by a series of other compounds from the same plant extracts – including CBDa, CBDV, and CBC – that did show strong cell-inhibitory effects on neuroblastoma cells .
That is remarkable. Because these cannabinoids are usually absent in standardized, heated cannabis products.
Why do we actually decarboxylate?
In most CBD products on the market, cannabinoid acids such as CBDa and THCa are converted (degraded) to their “active” form via heating. This process is called decarboxylation.
Peter Vermeul sees a fundamental problem here. Not only because heating destroys valuable substances, but also because the acids in their natural state are biologically very active . In his laboratory and through years of practical experience, he saw that extracts without heating – in which all acids, terpenes and flavonoids are preserved – have stronger and broader effects. And now science confirms this.
Full-Spectrum = Full Potency
The results of the study indicate that CBDa, CBDV and CBC showed a clear inhibition of tumor growth even at low concentrations – even stronger than some existing chemotherapy agents. In addition, they appeared to have a strong binding to a tumor protein that is involved in neuroblastoma.
Vermeul links this to practical experience with people who use his extracts: improved stability, fewer side effects, and in some cases even improved quality of life. Other plant substances such as cannflavins , beta-sitosterol and chlorin-like compounds from cannabis also show promising potential, according to him.
“Discoveries like this remind me why I started this work – not as a manufacturer, but as a researcher.”
— Peter Vermeul
What does this mean for the future?
For difficult-to-treat diseases such as glioblastoma , pancreatic cancer or other aggressive tumors, these are encouraging signs. Cannabis need not be limited to pain relief or symptom relief – it could also contribute to supportive therapy with fewer side effects , precisely because it works via multiple mechanisms at once:
-
Inhibition of inflammation
-
Support of apoptosis (programmed cell death)
-
Protection of healthy cells
-
And possibly disrupting tumor growth
