It was decided in consultation:

• Gabapentin to be continued for the time being, but with a view to tapering off

A week later, Gerry was back in the practice – and walking much better. The dragging of the leg had stopped, and the pain had clearly decreased. The acupuncture was repeated, and the gabapentin dosage was halved.
